Innovative Memory Care in Pleasant Hill, Tennessee

We understand that memory loss has its challenges, and your loved one’s comfort and emotional well-being are our first priority. That’s why we help residents experience joy through a holistic approach that cares for them comprehensively. Our memory care neighborhoods minimize stress and promote calm and are staffed with the region’s most highly-trained professionals who understand that no two days are alike.

By getting to know each resident on a personal level, our caregivers learn to anticipate their needs and wants. Residents enjoy meaningful interactions that reduce feelings of stress that may interfere with their daily lives. Families can visit as often as they wish and feel confident that their loved one is receiving compassionate and attentive care.

Our innovative memory care programs help residents living with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia experience joy, relive treasured memories, communicate in new ways, reduce feelings of stress, and re-connect with others. We also offer a Music program, which provides residents with iPods and personalized playlists of songs that can tap into deep memories and help them re-engage with others.

Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia

Nearly 6 million Americans live with Alzheimer’s disease, and that number is projected to more than double by 2050. If you notice that a loved one or friend is becoming forgetful or showing signs of memory loss, how do you determine whether the changes are simply due to aging or if something more is happening?

Dementia encompasses several conditions, and symptoms can vary greatly. Consider scheduling a consultation with a medical professional if your loved one has significant difficulty with at least two of the following:

  • Memory
  • Communication or language
  • Ability to focus or pay attention
  • Reasoning or judgment
  • Visual perception

While there are differences between Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, the emotional impact on families remains the same. If your parent or family member is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia-related condition, remember that there is help and there is hope.
