Cathy Taylor, LNHA

Cathy Taylor, LNHA
Uplands Village – Interim President and CEO
Wharton Nursing Home – Administrator

Cathy was born in a small town in South Dakota just west of the Missouri River, where she grew up with all of the animals you could imagine. She was taught to cheer for the Nebraska Cornhuskers and still cheers for them! Cathy came to Crossville with her husband, Jason, and her dog Husker (see? Die-hard Cornhuskers fan!) to be closer to her nephew and niece, and she loves spending time with them and cheering them on from the sidelines.

“Cathy brings a wealth of leadership experience in healthcare for seniors, and she is a community builder,” said Board Chair Debra Graham. As a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator, Cathy joined Uplands Village in August 2023 as Health Care Administrator for the Wellness Center and Wharton Homes. She holds an MBA degree with an emphasis on Health Services Administration.

With 12 years of experience in healthcare administration, including CEO/Administrator and Special Projects Administrator for Signature HealthCARE LLC in Louisville, Kentucky, Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and then Executive Director at Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Senior Operations Manager at the Center for Habilitation in Tempe, Arizona, Cathy brings crucial skills to the table.

She believes that open communication, making morally and financially sound decisions for residents and staff, maintaining regulatory compliance, and team building are important to the health and wellbeing of Uplands Village. “We are going to continue to be the amazing place we have always been,” said Cathy. We have been here 100 years, and we need to be here 100 more.”
